Welcome to a new episode of Leaders Link: a series of live-streamed conversations with leaders who have special reflections to share on some of the greatest challenges of our time.
Episode 8 features Virginie Helias, Chief Sustainability Officer, Procter & Gamble and a pioneer in reshaping business for our times.
In conversation with Lindsay Levin, Virginie explains why she thinks today’s shelter-in-place era offers the chance of a lifetime. She believes the pandemic has shown our ability to go way beyond self-interest – and has faith that we can seize the crisis, and flatten the curve of climate change and social injustice.
Virginie tells us why she favours the term regenerability (over sustainability) and talks about the need for scalable, regenerable solutions – such as durable, extended-life packaging – as a better alternative to recycling.
A force of nature, Virginie is sticking to her long-term mission to embed measurable sustainability within P&G. Her personal mantra, she says, is “Brave, not perfect!”.
