Julie Hill
Julie is an experienced international corporate Board member, philanthropist, and social activist.
Formerly the President and CEO of the US division of a large UK-listed company, Julie went on to found her own firm in land development and construction, as well as business consultancies. She has spent the last 25 years serving on a number of public and private corporate Boards of Directors. Currently these include Fortune 25 company Anthem, and the Lord Abbett Family of Mutual Funds. She has also served on the Boards of Directors of the global development group Lend Lease Corporation, listed in Sydney, Australia, the US professional services firm Resources Connection, and the US subsidiary of Swiss-based building materials group Holcim.
Julie is active in several not-for-profit and philanthropic endeavours, including the domestic violence agency Human Options, the Harvard Women’s Leadership Board, and she is Chair of the Board of Trustees of the University of California, Irvine. She has won numerous awards, including Director of the Year from the Forum for Corporate Directors and the Elizabeth Dole Glass Ceiling Award from the American Red Cross. Julie has been an advocate for women’s equality, for diversity in the workplace, and for equal opportunity in higher education. Believing passionately that businesses can, and must, do better, she has strived to represent the greater good in her years of corporate work. Julie holds a BA in English from UCLA and an MA in Management from the University of Georgia.
