Pradeep Kar
Pradeep Kar founded Microland in 1989 and has not only set the foundation of excellence but has been a constant, guiding force for enabling enterprises adopt next-gen technologies to achieve the highest possible levels of reliability, stability, and predictability. In the rapidly changing business and technology landscape, he ensures that Microland is ‘Making digital happen’ for clients and partners across the globe.
A serial entrepreneur, Pradeep has founded and sold three technology companies, namely, Indya.com (sold to Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation), Planetasia.com (India’s first Internet Professional Services Company) and Net Brahma Technologies.
In 1999, the prestigious World Economic Forum recognized Pradeep as a ‘Global Leader for Tomorrow’ as an acknowledgment of his leadership in the Indian IT industry.
From 2006 through 2016, Pradeep served as a Non-Executive Director on the board of UBM plc – a leading business-to-business events organizer listed on the London Stock Exchange. Pradeep was on the Board of Telstra Telecommunications, India, from 2011 to 2021.
Pradeep holds a postgraduate degree in Management and a graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering. His drive and talent were recognized and appreciated quite early in his career. He is a proud recipient of the ‘Young Business Achiever Award’ from The Indian Express. He also featured in the esteemed Newsweek and Business India as one of the ‘Stars of Asia’.
